What we store when you submit a list

When you save your 9 movies and submit them to the public rankings, we store the display name you type, your 9 picks, an optional comment, and a hashed password used only to let you edit or delete that post later — we never store your password in plain text. This data lives in our Supabase database.

What we store in your browser

Your in-progress list, name, and language preference are saved in your browser's localStorage so your draft survives a reload. A random session id is kept in sessionStorage to distinguish your tab for analytics; it is cleared when you close the tab.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, both cookie-less. We also run first-party event counters — for example, "movie added" — that record the page path, language, a coarse country derived from Vercel's geo header, and device type (mobile/desktop). We do not store your IP address or full user agent string.

Third parties

Movie data and images come from TMDB. If you tap the X or LINE share buttons, those services receive the data such sharing normally involves; we don't send your list data to them otherwise.

Deletion requests

To request deletion of a post or comment, message @terriberry_16 on X with a link to the item.
